Cookin' Fool

Keri made an AWESOME dinner tonight. She doesn't want me to post anything about it, but I just appreciate all her hard work. Bell peppers, zucchini, yellow squash, rice and 'coon breasts...DELICIOUS!!!!

Fun pictures at the playground

Well after chores today, we took the girls to the playground for a little bit.

Heres Abbs taking Chloe for a ride. Yikes.

Aunt Sandy

My Aunt Sandy passed away this morning after a long battle with cancer. We miss her already but at the same time are relieved she isn't in pain anymore.
I just got off the phone with my sister and we both were talking about how she was not only a great Aunt but as we got older she became a great friend who was always there with an encouraging word and was able to find the best in any situation.
Please pray for my Grandma today....

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels or demons, neither the present nor future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to seperate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38, 39

OK here are two more great Abby quotes:

Last night Abby and I went to pick up a prescription from Target in Fresno. We had dinner at Farmer Brothers (a burger joint) as we sat at the table together Abby said "I love Daddy and me time....I bet people are saying, look at that girl, I bet her mom died."

And tonight at the dining hall a summer staffer was passing by wearing patchouli oil and as Abby sat next to Keri she said "Mom it smells bad when I sit next to you."

another one from abby

On the way back from having brunch with some friends, Abby saw a woodpecker from the jogger."Mom look!! Its a nosepecker!" So cute...

new storage shed

Okay so this is a boring post but I am excited about it so that is all that matters!

Our long awaited storage shed is finally here. They started
leveling the ground between us and the infirmary yesterday...I thought they would build it on site but was pleasantly surprised when Phillip came driving up with it just a few minutes ago. Yeah! Now we can hide all of our junk :)

Oh and I almost forgot what Abby said while she watched Phillip drive it in.
"I want try one of those."
"Really?" I said
"Yep..but not with something big...I might hurt myself, but maybe holding a toy or something."

Humes Track and Field Day

Here is Megan doing the sack race at Track and Field today...notice how she takes out her competition toward the end :)

Track and Field was from 8:30 this morning until noon. Abby, Chloe and I hung out and watched the events for the last 2 hours. It was wierd weather today..one minute it was freezing cold and ready to rain and then as soon as the sun peeked through it was hot.

Megan got first place in the broad jump! Good job Megan....

Here is Abby playing with her friends and Chloe joining in...

And here is Megan with her 1st place ribbon.

Chloe hanging out with her big sister

Chloe clapping for everyone as they got their ribbons :)

Verse for Wednesday!

Memorial Day

So, Brian only had to work a half day today so he suggested going to town to go to Costco and do our shopping for the next couple of weeks.
Being the wonderful wife that I am, I cleaned and did the laundry in the morning so we would come back to a nice clean home. Ahhh....

When Brian got home at noon..I had everything ready to go...diaper bag packed...kids dressed.... except a snack for Chloe. So I went into our laundry closet to grab a new bag of gold fish crackers from the cupboard up above the washer and I stepped in something slimy...I looked down and saw that my huge Costco bottle of liquid detergent fell off the dryer and broke off the nozzle. The WHOLE bottle poured out on the floor.( I didnt get a picture because I was too irritated) Good times. After sopping it up with almost all our towels and throwing them into the tub we left at 1:00.

We got down there and went to Cheesecake factory....very good. I wanted to take a picture of my food but didn't want to risk looking like a McWatters wanna be ;)

Heres the girls in front of the resaurant...

Heres Abbs eating Spaghetti...so lady like.

Then we went to Sears and Jcpenneys to take back a couple of things and I had to take a picture of these really neato pants. Wow... I think I am going to get a pair for Brian to wear...so many cool little zippered pockets to put stuff in.

Anyway, by the time we got out of Sears it was 5:00! So we rushed over to Costco and it was closed for Memorial Day. Yep...the sad part is that I think I knew that already from trying to go last year in SLO before we moved up to Hume.
We went to Target and Vons and got home at 8:45.
Atleast the kids were pretty well behaved... :)

Cup of Confusion

Ok, nobody got my joke? The kid is in the soup! The soup is made of children! The warning label tells you to beware when SERVING CHILDREN! The "kid flavor" is not real I painted it in. (I am a professional painter after all.) Now I know what Dennis Miller feels like, except the confusion wasn't caused by my superior intellect but by my rather odd imagination.

Don't know why kids flavor is hotter than the others but at least they give you a heads up. It was pretty good though, kinda tasted like chicken.

Crash Landing

I wanted Brian to video Chloe when I mention 'Airplane'. It cracks me up, she almost always goes directly to my feet. I usually don't drop my children. Really.

The Splits

This is Chloes new thing today...she likes doing the splits...here we are trying to talk her into doing it for the camera..

And here she is actually doing it!

I'm gonna kick it like a cricket

When everyone came home for lunch today, I put on Elmo for Chloe to watch with Abby since they had already ate. Megan propped Chloe up on the couch while I made lunch for us. So, after finishing lunch with them I went to check on Abby and Chloe. She sat there on the couch for a half hour! I had no idea she was on there....I am so thankful she didn't take a dive! She thought she was pretty cool as you can tell.

Thursday Afternoon

I'm watching Jack today while Shannon went down the hill.

Megan and Jack playing after school today I overheard Megan say:

"Okay...We have to call her by her real name Chloe because we don't want her to be confused when she grows up and say her name is Amy or something".....
So since Brian hasn't posted anything about his trip to the baseball game, I thought I would just show you a few pictures of their day....

Here they are at the game....for the 4 innings that they managed to stay for. Abby was over it.(I think Bri and Meg were too) It was really hot out there.
Then they went to Yoshinos...without me. I think Brian was a little scared to tell me :)
Then they went to Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory for dessert...yum.
And here is a picture of the extensive decorating I did in the girls bathroom. Two shelves. But hey, its better than nothing.

Tuesday Morning

Today is game day! Brian took Megan and Abby to a Grizzlies baseball game today. It was a school event that we have known about since December so the girls have been anxiously waiting for awhile now. We all were going to go but knowing how hot it's going to be in Fresno and with Chloe as grumpy as she is lately I figured we would stay home.

Here they are...so excited. Chloe had fun dancing around too!

So cute! See Brian... who needs to have boys???

After they left, Chloe and I went and met Shannon and the boys for a little bit at the playground. When we got back this guy was on my porch. Isn't his tail beautiful? I think it is called a five lined, blue tailed skink lizard.
Okay thats it for now..hopefully Brian will have some fun pictures of the girls when he gets back....

Football Camp

This weekend we have football camp and a mother/daughter retreat up here at Hume. ( I'm sure the teenage girls are in heaven!) I think Brian gets most excited about football camp more than any other retreat up here so far. These camps are public schools that bring their football teams up here to have a fun weekend training and whatever else they do... But what Brian and I love is each one of these boys get to here the Gospel message...

I guess Hume or the schools (I'm not sure which) sends out a form to the parents asking them to sign and return if they don't want to have their child hear about Jesus. They have been doing football camp for a couple of years now and they haven't had a waiver form sent back to them yet. How awesome is that?

It's fun living in the middle of camp and hearing all the kids having a blast...(I'm not sure if we will feel the same in the middle of summer when there is 1800 kids here but you never know!)

Anyway, pray for these boys as they hear about how much God loves them this weekend!...

Mommy and Me day at.... Super Wal-Mart??

Megan and I went to Wally World today...just the two of us, in the lovely town Dinuba. I would of much rather went to somewhere cool but atleast we got to have some one on one time. I don't remember the last time Megan and I hung out. It was great. Anyway..here we are at Taco Bell in Dinuba...
While we were checking out, Megan noticed this mat that I got for the kitchen. Now, keep in mind that we are in Dinuba, which is a little run down farming town...
When Megan saw it in my basket she said "Mommm...Didn't you notice that this is written in Spanish?? "
Made me laugh ;)
This is what Brian got to deal with when I was gone...Chloe is getting weaned right now, getting
a molar, and has a fever. Good times! Atleast Abby is smiling :)

Rookie bloggin

The girls answered questions on theology for a video the program staff is making. Some of it was too funny. Keri said my pictures were fuzzy and no good, but her and meg are down at wal mart today so she can't stop me. ha ha ha. Anyway this blogging stuff is hard I'm glad she does it all!

Thursday

We went for our walk this morning...I think we have decided to start right after we drop the kids off at school from now on. It was hot by 10:30 this morning! Cute picture of Abby (and Chloe) in
the jogger.
Tonight was Open House at Megans school, so we got to see all of Megs projects throughout the schoolyear. It was cute and short...just the way I like it ;) (Susie and Charlie...your Flat Stanley report was a hit! We got to take it home so it will definately be a keepsake. Thank you for the love, time and effort you put into it.)
Megan and Genevieve did a diorama of "The Long Winter". They were very proud of it!

Good Morning to you....

Abby greeting Chloe this morning.

"Good Morning to you...
Good Morning to you...
You sometimes smell like spit up...
But I still love you."

It had to be luck that it actually rhymed....

Accident prone Abbs

The girls have their friends Noah and Anelise over today....
They were all playing tigers and lions then Abby and Anelise had a collision. Poor Abby...she severed that dangling thing above your front teeth. So, I called my friend and the nurse and they both said there is nothing they can do for that. I guess it will grow back.

Here she is having her second bowl of icecream :)

blowing bubbles

Bathtime this morning...Chloe trying to blow bubbles like her cool big sister.
