Days 230-235 Tuesday thru Sunday

Tuesday- Sprinklers. Chloe spent most of her time just whipping her hair back and forth...back and forth.

Well, we officially started homeschool on Wednesday. We went and got our books and met with the teacher. I really like her. We signed up for all they have to offer there at the building and I even rented out their microscope for two weeks. Abby's first assignment in Science was to learn what it means to observe. So, we observed a plant outside by looking, touching and smelling it. Then she was to record her data :) She loved it.

Meg and Abbs checking out the microscope.

Oh, I am also attempting to do preschool with Chloe. I have found some pretty useful and free curriculum online! I think I have lost my mind.

Sunday- We took a drive to Cambria today when Brian got home from church. Abby had a high fever yesterday morning and was stuck in the house all weekend so we figured we would get her out for a bit. We found a little farm called Linn's Pie Farm. Cute little farm! I think our favorite part was they had two pet peacocks, Randy and Dandy, that you could feed : )..oh and the blackberry pie :)

Day 223-229 Tuesday thru Monday

Lagging behind on the ol' blog lately...
But nothing really interesting has been happening in the Butler household! But I'll share anyway :)

When we got back from Arizona, we picked our first cantelope! And our massive squash :)

The girls have been begging me to make homemade pizza...

And the girls are really excited to start school on Wednesday , so they have been playing school a lot lately. Megan being the teacher :) Here is Chloe in Art...

And Science :)

Oh, and also in Art she is learning how to draw some really cute people :)

Speaking of School, most of you know that we've decided to homeschool this year. Never in a million years would I have thought I would of said this. Funny how things change. Anyway, we have no idea how long we will homeschool but we do know this is best for our family right now!We are excited but I would be lying if I didn't admit that I am scared! Not for the teaching part, but just for not having a break. So you can pray that the Lord would be my strength and that I would look to Him for refreshment.
So, we are going with Templeton Home School which is thru the public school system. They offer Spanish, Fine Arts and Pottery, Science Fairs and plenty of field trips! And its free!

I found a thru-the-Bible curriculum online that I'm really excited about, so we're going to try it out for a month and its really reasonable in price. Like $15 per curriculum book and theres 3 for the whole Bible. Its made to work for all ages, looks easy to teach and understand, and if you stick with it, can go thru the Bible 3 times by the time your kid graduates highschool. I hope it works out!
Last but not least..Rachel and Megan with their Dr. gear!

Days 219-222 Thursday thru Monday

Thursday thru Saturday- We took a quick trip to Gold Canyon, Arizona to visit Grandma Susie and Charlie! It was so good to see them, and the kids traveled so well. Other than me crashing their internet it was just wonderful. :)
They have a little guest house and a pool, so it is perfect for our little family! We spent most of our time in the pool! If their little outdoor thermometer was correct, it was 110 degrees most of the time!

Cannonball!..my favorite picture of the whole vacation, thanks Grandma Susie!

Chloe wanted to feed her "dolphin" a cheezit.

Speaking of dolphins...Chloe would do what she would call her "dolphin" and then do a complete forward flip in the pool. Didn't get a great picture of it, but it was hilarious to watch.

We had so much fun, and wish we could of stayed longer! Thank you for having us! Love you...
Sunday- The drive home. We stopped at the "World's Biggest Dinosaur" in Cabazon. The girls were thrilled! They got to see HUGE robotic dinosaurs, pan for gem stones, dig for dinosaur 'bones' which were rocks that had dinosaur names on them that they turned in for little prizes. Then we were surprised when we went inside the gigantic t-rex which had a bunch of posters inside of it that suppported creation and explained why evolution is completely false. Megan was so excited about that!

Monday- Massive amounts of laundry. Need I say more?

Tuesday and Wednesday Days 217 & 218

Tuesday- Megan and I started our first 500 piece puzzle today. My grandma got us one a couple years ago, so we broke it out today! I brought the table out that we never put on Craiglist :) and put it in the living room. Works out perfect! I think I will keep it in there for school too. Anyway, while we worked on our puzzle for most of the day, the girls played outside for awhile. Got a cute picture of them through the screen..I found out later they were playing with slugs. Yuck.

Wednesday- Finished the puzzle already! We loved doing it so much, we are going to get another one!

Days 214-216 Saturday thru Monday.

Saturday- Ahh, the beauty of having children that are old enough to do chores that are helpful! Megan has reached the age where it is dreamy! Megan load and unloads the dishwasher and cleans the kitchen when asked. And Abby does a great job cleaning her bedroom and the bathroom. And Chloe, well, we are working on it. She does like to give Norm food, and sometimes put the shoes in the garage...sometimes.

Sunday- Another perk of having children. Have them find your lost sandal under the couch.

Monday- Bluberries. My kids love fresh blueberries frozen. I don't remember who gave me the idea but I'm thankful! They devour them. When they go on sale, I stock up. Albertsons had a sale on Saturday for a big 18oz pkg for $2.00. So we bought 3. I should go back to see if they are still on sale and get more!
You want some now, huh?

Days 212 & 213 Thursday and Friday

I forgot to take a picture yesterday. So, here is another cute picture of the girls for the grandparents taken on Wednesday. Close enough ;)

Friday- Today we were carless for the 2nd day in a row. Oy. I thought about living up at Hume and how it wasn't a big deal if we weren't in the car for a week or even two. But up there we had beautiful Hume to play with :) Down here, it feels weird not being able to go somewhere...ANYWHERE...just to have a change of scenery! But we managed. We painted our nails to pass some of the time.

Day 210 & 211 Tuesday and Wednesday

Tuesday-Alright, I am a gardening nerd. Bear with me.
I seriously and thoroughly enjoy anything to do with my garden. I look forward to going out there every morning and just seeing what has changed!

I am so excited about my silly potato vine! This puppy has grown atleast 2ft since I got it last month. Crazy. I cannot wait for it to cover that whole arbor, with its pretty little papery white flowers :)

Heres my tomatoes! They are doing really well this season. I think because the dirt in the beds hasn't been used for 3 years.

Wednesday- Visit to Grams and Dads today...
Abby feeding Boomer :)

I love this picture! Abbs and Grandpa.

Chloe riding her bike in the barn! Woohoo!

All the girls!

Day 205-209 Thurs thru Monday

Little behind, but gonna catch up!
Thursday- Chloe wearing Brians safety goggles. Silly girl.

Friday- Brian, Megan and Abbs went up to Hume for the day. Chloe and I stayed home and played Candyland, bobbleheads, and babies.

Saturday-Abby and Chloe playing well together. Hallelujah!

Sunday- We're on a smoothie kick! I think its the only way Abby and I get our daily serving of fruit :)

Monday- The girls got their haircut today! Well, except Chloe :)
