Stinky Onion

I was telling this story to Megan as I cut an onion today...

When I first became a believer, I was really upset about something I felt like I was failing at (I dont even remember what it was) crying and all, and a sweet friend, who we will call Shelly ;) told me that we are like a stinky onion. God peels off a layer of stinkiness and reveals another layer of stinkiness! We aren't a finished product and we won't be until we get to heaven...God keeps working on us. Anyway, Megan replied "And sometimes it makes you cry when He does, just like when you peel an onion."

Huh! She amazes me.
