#19 Friday - Watersource hike!

I got my days mixed up. We painted on Friday and took the hike on Thursday. But you get the picture ;) We took the Camps up to the watersource. I had never been! LOTS of mosquitoes but still so fun! I love where we live.

#18 Thursday - painting!

We just kinda hung out today...it was pretty hot. So we thought we'd paint :) We sure miss Megan!

My friend gave us a whole bunch of kids paint before we left Templeton...one of the bottles was full of clear liquid that made the paint turn into putty. Pretty cool!

#17- off to the teepees....kind of.

A couple of summers ago, my friends took the girls and I to the teepees just down the road from where we live now. Abby doesnt remember them, so I thought we'd venture out and find them again. They are made with huge branches and you can walk in them. Kinda fun. SO off we went after lunch today....

Once we hit the trail...we found hundreds of tiny little frogs on the path. So we stopped and caught some. And of course we had to run home to get a "habitat" for them. :)

So, we went along for a few more yards...and discovered the trail was all overgrown so we turned around and noticed that a deer was hanging out with us :)

I had to run some errands around camp, and one of them was at the office. I had the girls wait outside with their frogs...when I came out they were surrounded by highschoolers :)

Mon #15 & Tuesday #16

Monday. Happy 4th of July! We had a relaxing day. Went kayaking in the morning with the Moores and the Camps. And then had a bbq at night. The weather was amazing today. Both Brian and I got sunburned out on the Lake, It was sooo hot. Then around 3pm we had a thunderstorm! Then just in time for our bbq it cleared up. I LOVE the weather here.... during the summer. ;) Anyway, I wished that I brought our camera when we went kayaking. But I did get a few pictures in after dinner.

Today #16

I just had to post my flowers. I love Trader Joes. It took me years to catch on, but so glad I did. The hydrangeas and foxgloves were both $6.99. I think thats quite a deal.

Sat eve #13and Sun #14- Hoe down and Wagon Train!

Today we are having more than just one picture for each day! Lucky you. Saturday night we went to the annual staff hoe down. They put on a bbq and have lots of fun games for those who sign up. (mainly summer staff). Its a blast to watch!Our old pause/Joshua student Hilary! We love her.

This picture is of one of the stops during one game. They had to eat a carrot as fast as they could and then run with a stick horse around hay bales...then chug a soda. So funny.

Megan went to wagon train Sunday at 2pm. We are just so excited for her. Not only for the games and fun but for what the Lord is going to teach her sweet heart. We can email her once a day (they will hand deliver it to her) and then we will pick her up on Saturday morning!

It was sooo hot on Sunday! Here's our good friend Jason and his son Jake being the mighty men of the house and happily bringing in all the heavy stuff!
